New presidency for the ACP Group
On Thursday 21st February, the ACP Committee of Ambassadors officially ushered in the new presidency of the Group for the period February to July 2013. The new President of Council is the Foreign Affairs Minister of Botswana, Mr. Phandu T. SKELEMANI, while the Chairman of the Committee of Ambassadors in Brussels is Mr. Samuel O. OUTLULE.

In the margins of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly (Santo-Domingo)
ACP Secretary-General, Dr Mohamed Ibn Chambas, was received on 15 February 2013 by former President of the Dominican Republic, Dr Leonel Fernández Reyna, who confirmed his agreement to be one of the “Eminent Persons” called upon to analyse strategies and prospects for the future of the ACP Group.
REPORT OF THE FACT-FINDING MISSION OF THE ACP-EU JPA BUREAU TO FIJI 22-24 JULY 2012
At its meeting of 27 May 2012, the Bureau of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly decided to send a fact-find mission to Fiji to assess the progress made by the authorities to return the country to constitutional order and parliamentary democracy. The mission was undertaken from 22 to 24 July 2012 and held extensive and open discussions with Government Representatives and a wide range of political stakeholders, leaders of Political Parties and the two previous Prime Ministers, as well as civil society and non-state actor representatives.
