Ms. Michèle Dominique Raymond is the Assistant Secretary-General for Political and Humanitarian Affairs.

She was born in Port-au Prince in Haiti. A diplomat by career, she graduated with the Diplôme de troisième cycle from the Université René Descartes – Sorbonne in Paris, France.  She also holds a Master of Arts in International Politics from the Free University of Brussels. Before embarking on her diplomatic career she was a Professor of History and Geography in her native Haiti and worked as a consultant for Unicef in Port-au Prince. Ms. Raymond is responsible for leading the political and humanitarian work of the ACP Group. In her spare time she enjoys classical (especially Opera) and following up on current developments in philosophy.
