Botswana Minister underscores the importance of preserving the unity and cohesiveness of the ACP in the negotiations with the developed nations

Prior to the opening of the 107th session of the ACP Council of Ministers, consultations took place in order to hear the views from the various regional organisations on how they perceived the future for the ACP Group as it seeks to finalise its Negotiating Mandate.

A Special session was held on 27th May 2018 so that all countries could voice their concerns and views. The consensus at the end of the day was that the ACP draft mandate was to be presented to the formal session of Council on 29th May for consideration.

Bruxelles, 15 juin 2017/ACP : Une nouvelle approche politique en faveur de produits de base devrait permettre de canaliser les efforts déployés par le Secrétariat ACP et ses partenaires afin d’optimiser l’impact de la transformation du secteur des produits de base dans les régions ACP.
 

Oceans Forum on trade-related aspects of Sustainable Development Goal 14

In preparation for the high-level United Nations Oceans Conference, an oceans forum co-organized by UNCTAD, FAO, the ACP Secretariat, COMSEC and International Ocean Institute (IOI) is  to be held from 21 - 22 March 2017,  Palais des Nations, Geneva, Switzerland.  The Forum shall be preceded by a briefing session on the Fisheries Regulatory Framework at the Multilateral Level scheduled for the 20 March 2017.

Visit by the Honourable Dr Walter Mzembi to ACP House

The Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Dr Walter Mzembi, who is also the African Union- endorsed candidate for the post of Secretary General of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), met with the Secretary General of the African Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) group of countries. Dr Patrick I Gomes, at the ACP’s Brussels Headquarters on 20 February, 2017.
