It is a great pleasure to be here today in Brussels to address the 105th Session of the Council of Ministers of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States.

Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen,

I bring you warm greetings from His Excellency President TESHOME, His Excellency Prime Minister DESALEGN, and the Government and People of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, the Land of Origins. It is a great honour for me to be presiding over the affairs of our 105th Council Session.

Les pays ACP négocieront en tant qu’une seule entité avec l’UE

Bruxelles, 3 avril 2017/ACP. Les soixante-dix-neuf pays d’Afrique subsaharienne, des Caraïbes et du Pacifique parleront d’une même voix lors des négociations qu’ils s’apprêtent à engager avec l’Union européenne en vue d’un  cadre de partenariat majeur.

The ACP calls on President Yahya Jammeh to respect the will of the Gambian people

The African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States is following keenly the political developments in the Gambia following Presidential elections held on 1st December 2016 that led to the election of President Elect Adama Barrow.

Concerned at the volte – face by President Yahya Jammeh, the ACP calls for respect of the will of the Gambian people as expressed by the election results and the need for a peaceful and orderly transfer of power to the President elect.

The ACP Group of States seizes this opportunity to support all efforts by the International Community and Regional Organisations, in particular ECOWAS, to ensure smooth and peaceful transfer of power to President elect Adama Barrow on 19th January 2017

The ACP congratulates the people of Ghana on its recent Presidential and parliamentary elections

The African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States congratulates the people of Ghana for a smooth, peaceful and successful, organization of the Presidential and parliamentary elections held on the 7th December 2016.

The ACP Congratulates President Elect Nana Akufo-Addo for his election and accession to the Presidency of the Republic of Ghana. The ACP commends President John Dramani Mahama for the graceful acceptance of the results of the elections.

The ACP Group stands committed to promoting peace, good governance and democracy in ACP states and applauds the people of Ghana for affirming the strength of Ghana’s democracy through this election.

Press Release: 104th Session of ACP Council of Ministers convenes in Brussels

Brussels 01 December 2016/ ACP: The 104th session of the Council of Ministers of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States ended yesterday in Brussels, presided over by the Hon. Lindsay F.P. GRANT, Minister of Tourism, International Trade, Industry and Consumer Affairs of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. 

Déclaration du Groupe ACP sur la situation politique en Gambie

Le Groupe des Etats d’Afrique, des Caraïbes et du Pacifique (Groupe ACP) continue de suivre de près l’évolution préoccupante de la situation en Gambie, à la suite de l’élection tenue le 1er décembre avec succès, la reconnaissance, avec élégance, de sa défaite par le Président  JAMMEH le 2 décembre, puis sa volte-face le 9 décembre.  Le Groupe ACP se joint à la communauté internationale pour condamner la décision du Président sortant JAMMEH de contester par la suite le résultat du scrutin que la Commission électorale indépendante avait déclaré libre, régulier et transparent, décision qui menace la paix et l’harmonie qui ont fait la réputation de la Gambie.

Concept notes welcome for trade capacity grants under ACP-EU TradeComII program – deadline 8 November

Brussels, 10 October 2016/ ACP: The ACP-EU TradeComII Programme is accepting concept papers from a wide range of actors who wish to carry out trade-related programmes, training, research and networking activities for the benefit of African, Caribbean and Pacific countries.

Trade research or training institutions, academic institutions with specific trade programmes, export promotion or agencies, private sector advocacy organisations; and certain international organisations are invited to make submissions.

Déclaration relative à la situation à la République démocratique du Congo

Bruxelles, 21 septembre 2016/ ACP: Le Groupe des Etats d’Afrique, des Caraïbes et du Pacifique (Groupe ACP) exprime sa profonde préoccupation face aux violents incidents qui ont éclaté le 19 septembre 2016 à Kinshasa,  en République démocratique du Congo, faisant des morts parmi les manifestants et les forces de l’ordre.
