Une mission ACP observe les élections en Guinée équatoriale

Malabo, 27 mai 2013/ ACP: Une délégation de quatre membres du Groupe ACP était présente à Malabo, République de Guinée équatoriale, le weekend passé pour observer, en toute indépendance, les élections législatives, sénatoriales et municipales du 26 mai 2013.

In a Consultative Meeting held in Brussels on 29 and 30 April 2013, at the ACP House to discuss the implementation of "The outcomes of Rio+20 Conference: now, up to and beyond 2015" the representatives of the ACP governments have decided to establish an ACP Ad-hoc Working Group on the Post-2015 Process.   The meeting focused on the critical elements for the development of the post-2015 overarching framework, which will be very important to eradicating poverty in ACP Member States.

ACP/LDC SUGAR GROUP DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED WITH EU COUNCIL PROPOSAL ON SUGAR

The ACP/LDC Sugar Suppliers to the EU express deep disappointment with the EU Agriculture Council’s proposal to extend the Single Common Market Organisation for sugar by only two years to 2017 instead of 2020 as agreed by the European Parliament.  In so doing the ACP/LDC countries join European Sugar Manufacturers Association (CEFS) and the European Beet Growers Federation (CIBE).

Le Groupe ACP a pris note avec satisfaction que  le Parlement européen a voté, le 13 mars 2013, en faveur de la proposition de la COMAGRI visant à reconduire jusqu'au 30 septembre 2020 les quotas de sucre de betterave actuellement en vigueur .

Le Jury du Prix spécial ACPCultures+, composé de Michèle Dominique Raymond (Sous-Secrétaire Générale ACP), présidente, de Boris Zakowski (attaché audiovisuel à l’Ambassade de France au Burkina Faso), de Osange Silou-Kieffer (journaliste), de Raymond Tiendrebeogo (réalisateur et professeur à l’Institut de l’Image et du Son de Ouagadougou) et de Perrine Ledan (Expert Cinéma et Audiovisuel), membres, a choisi de récompenser le film documentaire « The Cut » d’une jeune réalisatrice kenyane de 28 ans, Beryl Magoko.

PRESS RELEASE: ACP Group calls on EU Council to honour commitment to world’s poor

Paramaribo, Suriname, 29 November 2012/ ACP: The Secretary General of the Group of African, Caribbean and Pacific States Dr Mohamed Ibn Chambas has expressed profound regret at the European Council’s proposal last week to cut development aid funding by more than 7%, compared to figures put forward by the European Commission.
