KINGSTON, 10 November 2011 (ACP Fish II/ ACP Press)- The ACP Fish II Programme enters its second phase concentrating efforts on boosting fisheries management in the Caribbean. NEWS: More resources needed in Horn of Africa to maintain relief effort, says UN
UN News Service/ ACP Press, 7 November 2011: The massive humanitarian response to the food crisis in the Horn of Africa has eased the suffering of thousands of people, but more resources are needed to save the lives of hundreds of thousands of children in famine-hit areas of Somalia, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) said in a progress report on the crisis.

ECDPM , 1 November 2011: Ambassador P.I. Gomes succeeds Ambassador Lingston Cumberbatch as Chair of ECDPM Board; Aart Jan de Geus succeeds Berend-Jan Baron van Voorst tot Voorst as member.
After almost ten years Ambassador Lingston Cumberbatch stepped down as Chair of the Board of Governors of ECDPM (European Centre for Development Policy Management) to be replaced by Ambassador P.I. Gomes who took office as the new ECDPM Board Chair from August 1, 2011.
