ACP leaders send out strong message to partners at key summit

The African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States wrapped up a successful 2-day summit for Heads of States and Government on 13-14 December at the Grand Sipopo International Conference Centre in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, committing to intensified South-South cooperation, while calling for more development-friendly relations with European partners.

FAO and ACP Countries agree strategic partnership against hunger and malnutrition

The Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) and the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States are to become strategic partners in the fight against hunger and poverty and for the sustainable management of natural resources in the 79-member bloc of countries.

The African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP) voiced support for the United Nations General Assembly’s draft resolution to declare a Decade of Sustainable Energy for All from 2014 to 2024.

The President of Suriname joined fellow Head of State from Guyana in welcoming parliamentary delegates from the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group last weekend, calling for stronger economic cooperation amongst its 79 member states, less reliance on foreign aid, and a united voice on global development issues.
